Oscar Matson

Oscar Matson is the owner/winemaker of Matson Vineyards. He has been a resident of Redding, CA for more than 50 years and has always loved living in this beautiful county. As a former Shasta College professor in German, French, Spanish and English, Oscar enjoys having guests from all over the world, joining them in singing German, Spanish, French, and, occasionally, English songs while enjoying a glass of wine.

Roger Matson

Roger is our enologist /winemaker / owner. He holds a B.S. in fermentation science from University of California, Davis, and has worked for various wineries, mainly in the Mendocino area. If you visit Matson Vineyards, you will see and feel his passion for making unique and high quality wines. He is also a nutritionist, and includes a glass of wine as part of his healthful lifestyle.

Keiko Goto

Keiko is the Food and Wine Analyst and Marketing Manager for Matson Vineyards. As a trained food scientist and nutritionist, Keiko has worked in various countries such as Guatemala, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Tanzania and developed a deep appreciation of diversity in people and food.

Originally from Japan, her fate drastically changed when she married Roger Matson. She calls herself either "a queen of Chateau de Matson" or "a farmer's wife". Her current interest is the pairing of Matson wines with Japanese foods, as well as foods from other countries. She is currently teaching food science and nutrition at California State University, Chico.

Erika Lily Matson

Erika is our new family member! She was born on March 1, 2006. Erika means "a painting of pear blossom" in Japanese. We look forward to watching both Erika and Matson Vineyards grow together.

Lynette Shaw

Lynette is the Wine Sales and Events Coordinator for Matson. A native of Shasta County and sincere wine enthusiast, Lynette brings over a decade of event planning and sales experience to the winery. We look forward to our bright future together.
